Englewood Arts building, 2021

VISUAL ARTS

The Englewood Arts District purchased the formerly unoccupied medical building (current photo above) in 2019 which was previously home to Comprehensive Mental Health. The plan is to convert the building to provide housing opportunities and studio space for artists. The building now houses our Glass Lab, a studio for blown glass. (Preliminary room design and current photos below).

What we plan to offer

Our plan is to offer opportunities to create art and also learn about art. We currently have glassblowing Make-Your-Owns available for sign-up (and we will soon have full-on classes)! We look forward to offering opportunities in the other areas of interest below as well:

  • Painting

  • Wood

  • Ceramics

  • Classes (adult and kids)

  • Kids camp and workshops

If you are interested in any of these opportunities please let us know.

Public Art

WE WANT PUBLIC ART

The Englewood Art District hopes to prominently display public art as part of its overall design and as a way to creative a distinctive vibe for the neighborhood.
A process for public art solicitation and selection will be developed.
