Glass Lab Access
Want regular access to a glass lab without the overhead of building your own? Our studio rental membership gives you access to shared equipment and workspace so you can focus on making.
What's Included
All scheduling will be made through the Studio Manager (Kevin Miller) via email kmiller@englewoodarts.art There is a minimum of three hours for all rentals. All additional hours will be charged at the rate designated to the equipment.
12” hole is $30/hr (minimum of 3 hours)
16” hole is $35/hr (minimum of 3 hours)
All rentals include up to 50 lbs of furnace glass (over 50 lbs is $4/lb), use of Studio hand tools and pipes, 1/4 of annealer space per slot. There is no shelf storage for renters. Lockers may be rented for $10/month.
Conditions for Access
To become a Studio Artist and access Englewood Arts independently, users must meet the following criteria:
-Completion of glass II or equivalent course, college course work in glassblowing, successful completion of a Studio Access and Proficiency Test
-New Renters must have EA glass staff or glass resident artist as assistant for the first 2 rentals minimum.
-Signed Liability Waiver on file.
-Signed Acknowledgement Form confirming understanding of all policies and procedures.
-Signed Contract on File
About the Lab
2,500 square foot studio equipped with 500lbs MU500 Furnace (Oceanside Clear), 12in glory hole, 16in glory hole, 2 large annealers, small pickup kiln, pipe warmer, along with Jim Moore hand tools, Spiral Arts blowpipes and punties, hand torches, and optic molds.

Production Club
Ready to take your glassblowing practice to the next level? Join the Production Club, a hands-on training program for renters, interns, and community members who want to build real experience in production glassblowing.
Under the guidance of Kevin, our Studio Manager, you'll train on small-scale Englewood Arts production pieces — sharpening your control over color, repetition, and consistency. It's a chance to log serious hours at the bench, build muscle memory, and grow from making one-off pieces to working with the speed and precision production glass demands.

A path toward being able to step in and support Make-Your-Own (MYO) sessions when we need extra hands

Glass Blowing 101
October 28, November 4, 11, & 18 at 6:00 PM
Experience the amazing world of glassblowing for yourself with our hands-on hot glass class!
This is a 4-week experience. Participants will learn all about the materials, tools, and skills needed to transform molten glass into a work of art, and our glassblowers will work with you one-on-one to help you create your own one-of-a-kind glass art piece. This is intended for beginners or people that need a refresher with no prior experience necessary.
Third Friday Demo
Every Third Friday at 6:30 PM
Watch them work! Live glass blowing demonstrations focusing on artists’ areas of expertise happen every Third Friday. Attendance is free, no RSVP required. Pull up a chair and see how our artists do their thing!
