Studio Access

Ceramic Studio Access

  • Throwing wheels

  • Wedging tables

  • Extruder

  • Slab roller

  • Communal work tables

  • Ceramic sinks

Studio hours: 7 AM – Midnight, Monday through Sunday.

What You'll Need to Bring

Membership covers equipment and workspace only. Renters are responsible for supplying their own:

  • Clay

  • Tools

  • Glaze

  • Any other consumable materials

Firing Your Work

Studio renters are welcome to participate in our kiln firings alongside everyone else. See our Kiln Firings page for current pricing and how to schedule a firing.

Storage

Standard studio rental doesn't include dedicated storage space for works-in-progress or supplies. Plan to bring materials as you need them and take finished/greenware pieces with you between visits.

If you're building your practice and want dedicated space of your own, ask us about renting one of our 8' x 10' private studio spaces, a good next step for renters who've outgrown shared communal space.

Kiln Firings

Englewood Arts fires mid-range bisque and glaze work for the community. Below you'll find how pricing works, our policies around kiln and shelf damage, details on our kilns, and how to request a firing.

How Firing Works

  1. Fill out the Kiln Firing Inquiry Form below with your preferred dates, an estimate of how much kiln space your work will need, and the type of firing you're requesting.

  2. We'll follow up to confirm a drop-off and pick-up window.

  3. When you bring your pieces in, a staff member will help you measure them to finalize your quote.

  4. Payment is collected at the register at drop-off, before you leave, not after firing.

All firing-related communication happens by email, so please add us to your contacts and check your spam/junk folder if you're expecting a reply.

Timing: Request firings 1-2 weeks ahead when possible, since our kiln availability changes throughout the month. Once your piece is in the kiln, plan on 3-5 days minimum before it's ready, longer during busy periods, since class and member firings get priority alongside outside firing requests.

Pricing

Use our pricing guide to get a rough estimate before you come in. Final pricing is always confirmed by a studio assistant once your piece is measured at drop-off.

$0.03 to $0.06 per cubic inch, depending on cone firing

Kiln & Shelf Damage Policy

We want every piece to come out of the kiln whole and beautiful! This section exists so accidents are handled fairly, not to discourage you from firing with us. If you're ever unsure whether your glaze, clay body, or piece design might cause an issue, ask a studio assistant before you drop off. We're glad to help you troubleshoot.

If a piece does cause damage, you'll be responsible for the repair or replacement cost:

Type of Damage:

Glaze drip on a shelf $5 per drip

Post or stilt damage Price dependent on size, will be reflected on invoice.

Piece fused to a shelf (full replacement) $98 per shelf
