Opportunity Zone

The Englewood Arts District is located in a federal Opportunity Zone. An Opportunity Zone is a designation given to a low-income area that allows for certain investments, including real estate and property, to have tax advantages.

Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Mortgages

The Community Reinvestment Act requires the Federal Reserve and other banking regulators to encourage local banking and financial institutions to help meet the credit needs of people in their communities.

Banks serving the Englewood and Independence area have qualified mortgage programs for people with low/poor credit or from low-to-moderate income backgrounds.
