Gage Stephens

Gage Stephens is a glass artist working at the intersection of biology, travel, and sculpture. He was first introduced to glass at Bowling Green State University and has since worked in studios across the US, spending four years making and teaching in Maui and two years co-owning a hot shop in Bali, Indonesia.

His work uses sculpting and casting methods to translate natural ecosystems and cultural experience into form — drawing on the experiences encountered while living and working abroad. He works across functional and fine art, with a growing interest in multi-media installations and lighting.
