Glass Blowing 101

Throughout this course, participants will dive deep into the fundamentals of glass manipulation, mastering the materials tools, and techniques necessary to transform molten glass into finished pieces. Colors of the Earth - Japanese Mineral Dyes on Fabric with Web Scheduling

Work with Artist Lisa-Ann Sugimoto for an introduction to ancient colors using Japanese mineral dye applications onto cloth using itajime shibori (clamp resist) and immersion dye techniques on white cotton fabric. Students may also bring (optional) one pre-washed 100% cotton T-shirt to dye. This nontoxic, gentle, and sustainable dye product is imported from Japan.

In this playful workshop, you’ll “paint” with yarn to create vibrant, festive ornaments perfect for holiday decorating or gifting.
